What to Tell the Locksmith When You Call

Five pieces of information that get you a faster, more accurate quote — and shave minutes off the time it takes us to reach you.

February 9, 20263 min read

1. Year, make, model

This is the single most useful thing you can tell us. A 2019 F-150 and a 2009 F-150 use completely different key systems.

2. Key type

Is it a flat metal key, a chunky black plastic head with buttons, or a button-only smart fob? If you're not sure, take a quick photo and text it to us.

3. What happened

Locked out, all keys lost, key snapped in the ignition, fob stopped working — each of these is a different job with different tools.

4. Your location

Cross streets or a Google Maps pin is faster than a full address. We dispatch from Mountain Home and want to be on the road as soon as we hang up.

5. Whether you have ID

We're a NASTF-registered locksmith — we have to verify ownership before originating keys. A photo of your driver's license matching the registration is usually enough.

The takeaway

The faster you give us those five things, the faster we're rolling toward you. Call 870-736-1409 and we'll handle the rest.
